A Guide to Understanding My Simplified Version of the COT Report for Retail Traders!

How to read the COT Report

Are you new to trading or looking to improve your understanding of market trends? One valuable tool to add to your toolkit is the Commitment of Traders (COT) report. However, the original COT reports can be lengthy and difficult to understand. That’s why I am sharing the simplified version of the COT report, specifically designed to help traders like you make sense of market data.

I am excited to share with you my PDF guide on how to read the COT report. It provides a thorough overview of the reports and explains everything in a clear and concise manner. My goal was to create a guide that would be accessible to new traders.

This PDF guide is divided into three parts

  1. Firstly, I cover the basics of COT reports by explaining where the data comes from, how it is provided, and what it is used for. Additionally, I also provide an in-depth explanation of the different columns in the COT reports and how to interpret them.
  2. Secondly, I dive deeper into the COT reports by introducing my custom version of the COT reports, and furthermore, how to use the colors in them to gain more insight.
  3. Lastly, I show you how to analyze the relationship between a currency’s COT report and candlestick chart, in order to give you a complete picture of market sentiment and positioning.

I hope this guide proves helpful and informative for you, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and happy trading!
